Well, not that anybody cares, but here is my first journal for this year.
I've moved to Aalborg, Denmark, now I'm studying graphics design here.
I've switched to Mac. Tho, I have FreeBSD in a VM along with Enlightenment and Inkscape.
I didn't submit much here, because I haven't done something really impressive or worthy to post (just icons or posters for different clients or fun), yet I have some good stuff in the oven.

I know how much you love to read my journals, so here I am, writing a journal entry...again.

Well, this year is over. Tons and tons of stuff happened - there were bad things and good things. Met a lot of people, saw the death of a friend again, saw ManOwaR live, worked as a designer at 3 places and actually earned my first money designing something. Now I have a good and stable job.
I was lecture speaker for a first time... And so on and so on...
I'm a bit tired of all this, but the only good thing of all this holidays and shit is that I can rest. And I do.

So... About 2008... I wish myself 3 things: health, money and sex. Everything else is easy ;-)
Wish the same to you all.

Cheers ;-)

I know how much you love to read my journals, so here I am, writing a journal entry.

A lot of thing happened to me lately, thats why I'm so busy and inactive. I got a real kick-ass job as a designer and project manager in one American company. The best thing is, I'm working only with open source tools and on a open source project. Of course it keeps me quite busy and when you keep in mind that I'm still a student - well, yes, I'm very tired and I look like a zombie. But at least now I'm not so poor as I was before :-)
Since October, 1st there is full PayPal support in Bulgaria (yay!) and guess what was my first thing to buy! Indeed, it was a DA subscription :-) I admit it's quite better now, with all those cool little things that change the overall look and feel and functionality of the site.

I got a new computer - 3 Ghz c2d, 2 GB RAM, 256 GB HDD and other cool stuff. Also planning to purchase a cool Thermaltake case, most probably Kandalf. I'm having a blast here :-) Other thing to note - I'm gonna purchase "Essential Blender" after I finish with this entry, and will (try to) learn Blender and 3D graphics at all. I think I'm ready to try something new and more complicated since I'm dealing with vectors for more than a year now.

Also, I am working on a very cool vector atm, so expect new art from me soon.

Cheers ;-)

Windows?

2 min read
So I got a job. Well, almost, but it's 90%. Anyway. The boss wants me to use Windows and CorelDRAW. "Not a big problem", i thought myself. I had 8 GB free space on the hdd just to boot Win when I need it which will happen not so often, so everything was perfect.
So I started the Windows (XP SP2) installation. It copied it's files on the CD, made NTFS partition the boog partition, then the installation proceed. And guess what - a Blue Screen Of Death appeared with a strange error. I tried for second time - the same thing. Then I thought that maybe the problem is in my disc. So I booted FreeBSD again, downloaded a version of WinXP from a torrent, burned it on a new blank CD, etc. Started the installation again. And guess what - the same BSOD. I thought "damn, i'll try one more time, maybe I'll have luck this time". And guess what happened on the 4th time - The BSOD appeared and my motherboard blew up. Literaly. With smoke, etc.  Fuck that OS!
So now I have a new Mainboard and new RAM (1GB DDR2). The motherboard is nice - integrated Intel video card that has excellent support in Xorg, a very nice audio card - Intel HIG and support for Core 2 Duo processors (2 of them, actually, but I can't remember exactly which).
Then I had to reinstall FreeBSD because I've messed up my partitions and flags, had some misc problems with the system, etc.
The main point here is: Don't use Windows unless you really, really don't have to. This is just too fucking dangerous... Even before it's installed.  This was my second time installing it on my machine - the first was in 2003, iirc. I hope I will not have to do this very often in my life.

I hate Windows and Windows hates me.

Birthday

1 min read
So, I'm 18 years old now. Still the "bouncing baby boy" of the Enlightenment project :-) but a bit older.
Actually, I hate this date... Only bad things have happened on my birthday before and I guess on my birthdays in the future. But I just woke up, and except that I had no internet connection for a hour, everything is ok.
